2019 年、研究者は特発性肺線維症（IPF）患者 14 名を対象に、老化細胞除去薬であるダサチニブ＋ケルセチンを併用投与したことを報告した。3 週間の断続投与により、6 分間歩行距離や歩幅、椅子からの立ち上がり時間は有意に改善したものの、肺機能そのものには変化が見られなかった。対照群のないオープンラベル試験で、がん薬と薬理学的用量のフラボノイドを使用した点に注意が必要である。本稿では、実施方法・結果・批判的に読むポイントを解説する。
